Hi, I’m Brenda Rios
School Bus Driver Trainer

I created this toolkit to support other driver trainers by sharing practical, engaging, and easy-to-use training materials for school bus safety meetings and in-service sessions.

My focus is on visual learning, real-world scenarios, and interactive activities that help drivers better understand safety concepts and apply them on the road. Everything in this toolkit is based on methods I personally use to keep training clear, dynamic, and driver-focused.

This website is primarily designed around rules and regulations applied in the state of California. However, much of the content, especially training strategies, visuals, activities, and discussion topics, can also be helpful to driver trainers in other states. Users outside California are encouraged to adapt the material to align with their local laws and policies.

I believe that when training is relatable and visual, drivers are more confident, and confident drivers are safer drivers.
